Preach The Good News

Picture

Win Your World

And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the human race] Mark 16:15 AMPC

Your “world” is your sphere of influence, the circle of people with whom you share common interests and relationships. God placed you there so you can bring the Gospel to them, and this isn’t optional. It’s your primary responsibility. It’s the reason you’re in that school, job and living in that neighborhood at this time.

Good News

“Gospel” means good news. So, when Jesus said we should go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creation, He meant we should preach the good news.

For a message to be called “good news”, it must have the capacity to gladden people’s hearts by helping them and improving their lives. It’s not good news if it doesn’t bring about any positive change.

Something For Everyone

“Good news” to the poor guy is that God has brought him out of poverty (2 Corinthians 8:9). Good news to the sick is that by Jesus’ stripes, he was healed (1Peter 2:24). Good news to the confused and despondent is that Christ has brought him light, therefore confusion and discouragement are over (Psalm 119:130).

This is the message God expects you to bring to those in your world.

Don’t hesitate to carry out your God-given assignment. Influence your peers for Christ. Win your world!

Prayer

Father, I give you thanks for the honor and privilege to bear your message of eternal life to my world. I acknowledge the divine presence of your precious Holy Spirit in me and His anointing to preach the gospel.

I’m bringing many our of darkness into the glorious light, victory, and liberty of the sons and daughters of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

What Can You See?

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever (Genesis 13:14-15).

When the Lord told Abraham to lift up his eyes and look, in the scripture above, He wasn’t referring to the man’s physical eyes, but to the eyes of his spirit. God told him all the land he could “see” was his; it was now up to Abraham to decide how far he wanted to see. Being a man of faith, he looked from his spirit and saw the whole world. The Bible says “For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith” (Romans 4:13). Abraham became the heir of the whole world by faith.

Now, that’s not the end of the story. The Bible says “So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” (Galatians 3:9). You’re as much the heir of the whole world as Abraham: “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). No wonder the Bible declares that God has given you everything you require for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). However, it’s that which you’ve taken possession of by faith, that which your spirit has embraced, that you can enjoy. So it’s up to you! As far as your eyes can see, that’s “what the Lord has given to you for an inheritance.

As you fast and pray about the coming year, see yourself making unprecedented progress in every area of your life. See God taking you from glory to glory. Perhaps you’ve been praying and asking the Lord for a child, see that child with your spirit first. Whatever you’ve taken possession of from within, will certainly manifest in the physical.

Start practising how to see from your spirit, for your spirit is where the light of God is. God doesn’t function in the realm of the mind or senses. If you’re going to enjoy all the wonderful benefits of salvation God has in store for you, then you’ve got to see with the eyes of faith and speak forth what you see.

Be a Talker of God’s Word

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain” (Phillippians 2:16). I was actively involved in soul winning even while I was a student, and back then, I had many of my colleagues asking me, “Are you going into full-time ministry?” “I am already a full-time minister of the gospel,” was always my response. You see, where you are or what you’re doing right now is not what really matters; there’s nothing you are in this world that will be forever. You’re only a student for a while; if you’re a teacher, doctor or businessman, you’ll retire at some time.

But if you have received Christ into your life and are born again, you’re a full-time minister of the gospel of Christ. So, at that time I knew I was a part-time student and a full-time minister of the gospel. Christianity is not something you do, rather it’s what you are. For example, your gender isn’t something you qualify for, it’s what you are. A true Christian is a man that has discovered his true reason for living. Such a man doesn’t care where he is because he knows he could find himself anywhere and at any day, just like Phillip who was transported by the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:39).

He had abandoned himself to God and so God was free to take him anywhere. So when you’re a Christian you know that where you are is temporary because you can be anywhere and at anytime. You have become a man or a woman who is ready to give God praise because you’re convinced that you don’t go anywhere by accident. All the time you’re always watching out for souls. All of your energy and strength is channeled into one thing: leading men to Christ. This should be the mentality of every Christian. Paul the apostle said, “… woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16).

That means “Let me be accursed if I don’t preach the gospel.” That was a man who understood his calling into the Christian life. If the essence of a career is not about reaching people for Jesus, it’s worthless! You’re not just in business to make money; You’re there to reach the world for Jesus. That’s why Christianity is full-time!

Take Charge Of Your Life

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). Words are powerful; they actually constitute the building blocks of our lives. Whether you know it or not, you built whatever life you’re living right now with your words. If for any reason, you’re dissatisfied with your present circumstances, you can take charge of your life and steer it away from where it is now to where you want it to be. The Bible tells us that the worlds were framed by the Word of God (Hebrews 11:3).

God gave form, beauty and order to the world through His spoken Word; He spoke creation into existence. Genesis 1:2 says, “and the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, this was the chaotic picture of the earth before God took charge and turned things around by His Spirit, through the spoken Word. He said, “let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:3). He spoke forth light, to replace darkness. Likewise, as a child of God, you can take charge of the circumstances of your life and turn things around for your good. It doesn’t matter what condition you may be in right now; give the word and there’ll be a change.

God gave us His Word as a tool with which to build our lives, and frame our world. You can create for yourself a victorious life of success, peace and prosperity through the Word of God in your mouth. The Psalmist describes the glorious life of the one who constantly talks or meditates on the Word: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:3). Take charge of your life today and make it what you want it to be! Meditate and talk God’s Word concerning your health, success, victory and prosperity.

I DECLARE

“This Year, you will not be ashamed to serve God. You will not be ashamed to preach the gospel. You will not be ashamed to dance for God. You’re going to witness unprecedented manifestations of the Holy Ghost like never before. You’re going to see things you never thought possible; the glorious manifestations of the Holy Spirit on the left hand and on the right.” For thus saith the Lord, “You are the apple of my eye, whosoever is against you is against me. Anyone that falls against this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind into powder!” (Luke 20:18). You shall not be hindered and every hindering force that steps in your path shall be crushed by the anointing. And so shall it be in Jesus’ Name! Amen.”

Confession
I declare in the Name of Jesus that this year, I will witness unprecedented manifestations of the Holy Ghost in my life. I will not be hindered and every hindering force that steps in my path shall be crushed by the anointing.
